and industry partners,” said Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Dr. Kelly Austin, citing focus areas such as unmanned systems, cybersecurity, aviation safety, and advanced propulsion. What differentiates Embry-
Kelly Austin Riddle from traditional engineering or technical institutions is its singular focus on aviation and aerospace. Students learn from faculty with deep industry expertise in highly specialized settings, supported by cutting-edge laboratories and simulation environments.“ As the premier aerospace university in the world, we ensure our students have access to industry-informed curriculum, cutting-edge labs and ample opportunity to apply classroom learning to realworld projects that make a difference,” Austin said.
That approach prepares graduates not only with technical expertise, but also with the business acumen and leadership skills needed in an increasingly complex global industry.

Emerging technologies are also shaping Embry- Riddle’ s academic priorities. Artificial intelligence, cyber resilience, advanced air mobility, and commercial spaceflight are influencing curriculum development across programs. One example is the university’ s Center for Aerospace Resilient Systems( CARS), which focuses on protecting safety-critical aviation and aerospace systems. Austin noted that the center is advancing research through innovative applications of“ artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science and analytics to enhance cybersecurity, cyber safety and cyber resilience of the aerospace ecosystem.”
From Classroom to Career
Embry-Riddle’ s impact is especially visible in workforce development across Volusia, Flagler, St. Johns and Brevard counties. According to Rodney Cruise, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, 94 % of Daytona Beach and Prescott campus graduates are employed or continuing their education within one year of graduation.“ We work with our corporate and government partners to identify the skills their industries Rodney Cruise
