FOUR PHYSICIANS J in Flagler by Advent Health
AdventHealth brings three new surgeons and a sports medicine physician to Flagler County : general surgeon Dr . Abubaker Ali , general surgeon Dr . Matthew Wideroff , orthopedic surgeon Dr . Joseph Palmer , and sports medicine physician Dr . Joseph Chen .
These physicians will join AdventHealth Medical Group , a team of nearly 400 employed AdventHealth physicians and advanced practitioners representing 30 different medical specialties . With 70 practice locations across Flagler , Lake , Sumter and Volusia counties , AdventHealth Medical Group clinicians collectively cared for more than one million patient visits in 2023 .
“ Our community has been growing and we know that our patients need timely access to care ,” said Denyse Bales-Chubb , President and CEO of the AdventHealth Flagler and St . Johns Counties market . “ With that in mind , we put a focus on bringing new physicians to the area . So far this year , we recruited eight physicians to the Flagler County community , and we aren ’ t done . We are actively recruiting additional physicians and advanced practice providers to make it easier for patients to access high-quality care locally .”
