MOBILE A thumb through the best titles that should be hogging your mobile home screen and SD card.

Companion Apps are a big craaze.

The idea is that they can expand the universe of a console or a PC game by letting you connect to the world when you're on the move. The lastest is the ctOS Mobile App for Watch Dogs. While

other apps still offer an isolated

experience from the main game, this app lets you play against console owners in a series of small challenge matches. Send a challenge request to a friend or let the app reandomise your incursiom, and you'll be put in charge of the city's defence network, calling in police support, blocking roads and switching traffic lights to try and crash ultimately terminate your opponent - whose movements represented by a red car- in the game poper. It all happens in real-time, and while there's some delay in game's response to your commands, it offers an interesting glimpse as to the new opportunities Apps like this offer. It's free to download.

FATES FOREVER

Battleheart Legacy offers a rather charming story about a hunt for three magical crystals. But it's great take on the memorable side-stories that will make you feel like you've been trasported back to good old days of the SNES and The Legend Of Zelda. A huge amount of customization on your character's abilities ( no less than twelve classes can be combined ) will make this game perfect for fans of stats who like tinkering with their role playing heroes.

F1 Race Stars is, as you might guess, filled with real F1 stars, but is anything realistic. This is Codemasters'bid for the Mario Kart throne with a clone of Nintendo's famous series. Tracks all have multiple routes throught them, and races split between normal, elimination and a unique race type that has you start with a near-empty fuel tank. The lower the fuel the faster you'll go, forcing you to balance topping up against top speed. The game's free and has local MP.

This is perhaps the weakes title on this month's mobile game list, but there's still good reason to consider downloading it, as it art design is very different. Imagine Frank Miller's drawings, MadWorld and cyberpunk art overlaid on blazingly-fsat racing in an open-world environment. That's a rough idea of what you'll get from SXPD. The story unfolds thorough a series of animated shorts, while the gameplay feels like a stylistic spin on a sfuture superbike championship.

Fates Forever is another spin on the ever-popular MOBA genre. There's little to say other than this one of the best implementations of the genre seen so far on IOS. As with League Of Legends, Fates Forever offers a veriety of heroes that can be bought or borrowed, thought you've got a solid foundation of characters to get you started. As seen so often befoer, you have the option of fighting bots or other players, alone or with a friend. It's free to Download.
