Editor’s Note
W
ow, what a month! And
there’s still so much to more
come! With a good few
weeks still left of the eventing
season and the World Equestrian Games just
about to start, there’s something for everyone
as we approach the latter end of the year.
This month we were invited to glorious
Goodwood and enjoyed a day in the QREC
Box courtesy of Qatar Racing and Equestrian
Club. We met with Alison Lidderdale of the
Arabian Racing Organisation and also had
the pleasure of meeting a selection of the
board from the Arabian Stud Book. As the
champagne flowed so did the conversation.
We were treated to a day of spectacular
racing and were welcomed with plenty of
discussion on the beautiful breed, that is the
Arabian horse. We have already, and will
continue to, bring you a selection of news
and articles introducing the breed, endurance
and UK Arabian racing in the hope to raise
awareness of the life these beautiful animals
lead in the UK.
If you’re a showjumping fan, then there was
plenty of action to be had at the 2018 BSJA
National Showjumping Championships
held at Stoneliegh Park. Thousands
of competitors, horses and spectators
gathered for an action packed week of top
showjumping action. We’ve rounded up the
best of which in our six page winners gallery,
scroll on to page 12 to view!

September. The rider was overwhelmed
after his win, which was ‘a lifetime ambition’.
You’ll be able to read the report and view
the fabulous image gallery of action inside
October’s magazine.
On the subject of October, this month we’ve
teamed up with HOYS to offer a pair of
tickets to this year’s event. Taking place on
the 3rd-7th October. This year marks the
70th anniversary making it a year you really
won’t want to miss. For information on how
to enter, pop along to page 18 to learn more.
P.10 HATS, GLOVES AND SCARVES
Social media has been busy once again, with
the odd shot of early morning rides which
already have that autumn feel. With this in
mind we’ve added two features that tie in
nicely with this time of year. Our ‘Autumn
Horse’ feature looks at lightweight rugs,
hoods and field boots. Not forgetting the
equestrian, our second feature focusses on
hats, gloves and scarf sets.
We hope you enjoy this month’s magazine.
