wintry hello as we approach a Christmas that ’ s been steeped in controversy and doubt . I ’ m glad to be writing this month ' s editor ' s note in a period where lockdown has , in some way subsided – which at least means our sport can resume , under COVID-19 restrictions , and we can finally start to look forward the good times that this period of year brings .
This month we welcome back our magazine , after a short hiatus while we focussed activity on building a bigger and better website . We are so excited to be able to deliver our content via a magazine read once again . We ' ve missed all that comes with designing a magazine , including the excitement and content planning .
Competing may not quite be the top of your list of ' things to do ' at the moment , with the yuletide season fast approaching ; you may well have your head stuck into planning for what will be a festive season with a difference . Our annual Christmas Gift Guide has been built to help you out in the shopping stakes . You ’ ll find plenty of ideas in our magazine guide and online too .

Note news of Olympia ’ s online event came as a great delight . With streaming of special moments , including Valegro ’ s retirement ceremony , shopping opportunities and other fabulous activities , we regain a certain amount of excitement and adventure as the digital era proves relentless to COVID ’ s advances .
However different this year ’ s celebrations may be , it does provide opportunity to be grateful for our health and to all those who stepped forward to fight the pandemic . NHS and social care workers have without doubt been the ' heroes of the year ', with the government forging forward in attempts to act in a way that best protects the public , and our economy .
There ’ s nothing better at this time of year than snuggling up under a cosy fleece in front of the fire with the Christmas tree lights on and a cup of hot cocoa . And what better way to enjoy a cosy night in than with your free Everything Horse magazine ?
