News was announced that former world number one dressage horse, Totilas, was retired mid month. News came after a rather disappointing finish at the Aachen Dressage Championships held in August. The absolutely stunning Dutch Warmblood Stallion is 15 years of age and has unjustly been plagued with injury over the last few years. We definitely think that retirement was the right choice. Winter is approaching, more quickly than we’d have liked here at Everything Horse UK! We tend to feel its presence a little earlier as we are constantly working ahead of time so our news and products reach our readers when they need to. We’ve had great fun putting this month’s gear guide together and have had some great products in for trial too! Another exceptionally talented Scott Brash on Hello Sanctos at the London Global Championships Tour image credit Stefano Grasso/LGCT young lady joined our sponsored team in August, dressage rider, trainer and EHUK news reporter Daisy Jackson. I was particularly excited to have Daisy on board as she has written for the magazine since the initial launch in October 2013; it is so nice to give something back to someone who has already given us so much. I was shocked to learn of the poor skewbald foal that had been set on fire! What a truly sickening act, we can only hope that whomever was responsible will be brought to justice! It’s great to see international event rider, Ben Hobday has been making good progress in hospital! We were shocked to hear news of his struggle with cancer last month, but the #yeboi rider’s spirits are high and test results are showing his body has been reacting well to the Chemotherapy! There’s lots to enjoy in this month’s magazine, so what you are waiting for ? get stuck in..
