The process of genetic engineering of food causes a controversy all over the world. A good number of scientists consider genetic engineering as a safe technology, but many citizens claim that they are biased by the economic and financial gain and they shouldn’t be trusted. There is a debate around the fact of whether people should trust GM food and trust it or only rely on organically grown food. Majority of people do not know neither the advantages nor
the disadvantages of food, moreover they do not recognize its components and why it tastes better. Many human beings do not even read the labels written on food products and they never seek information to know more about GM food and if it is better than organically grown food or not. According to an online survey made this week about GM food, when people are asked about their level of understanding to GM food 61.54% of them answered that they have a medium level of understanding to GM food.
