Function of food science, nutrition and food technology:
In order for people to know the relation between food and science, they should know first the definition of nutrition, food science and food technology. Food science is the study of all kinds of food continents; such as the chemical, physical and biological, in addition to food procedure. In contrast, food technology is the application of saving, preserving and processing safe food. Nutrition is the communication between all food substances, science of food and nutrients, in addition to the process of digestion and absorption of food held by living organisms. The three of them work together cooperatively in order to produce health food for healthier people. Example of this work is the functional food which strongly supplies humans with health benefit and reduces the exposure to sudden death. After the evolution of food and nutrition science scientists are looking for what can make living organisms’ health better and reduce their risk of being sick. They introduced nurtigenomics as the best way to enhance different kinds of benefit to human beings. The term nutrigenomics study the interaction between nutrients and other dietary components with the genome. As a result of understanding the interaction between them, scientists will be able to enhance health benefit to humans and provide more dietary systems that will benefit living organisms.
