4)Light Lava Lamp:

Most of young generations love the lava lamp and want to know the secret behind this trick; many of them believe that it is made of real volcanic lava. In fact, the trick of lava lamp is mainly based on the concept we introduced before "The Density". So today we are going to know how to make a Homemade Lava Lamp using very simple ingredients.

Things needed:

•An Empty Glass bottle

•Suitable amount of water

•Vegetable Oil

•carbonate tablets (Fizzy tablets)

•Food coloring

steps:

•Pour the water into the bottle.

•Pour the vegetable oil into the bottle until it's almost full and wait few minutes for the oil and water to separate.

•Add 10 drops of food coloring to the bottle

Thedrops will pass through the oil and then mix with the water below.

•Break a carbonate tablet and drop half the tablet into the bottle. Watch it until it reaches the water in the bottom and see the fun starts.

•In order to keep the lamp working for longer time just add another tablet piece. Finally Turn on a flash light at the bottom of the bottle.

Explanation:

Oil and water will not mix due to their different denisties.so water sinks in the bottom while oil floats on the surface of the water .water is denser than the oil.As the carbonate tablet fall through the oil to reach the water, it reacts with it producing carbon dioxide gas. These gas bubbles attach themselves to the colored water and cause them to float to the surface. When the bubbles pop, the color sinks back to the bottom of the bottle.
