Kate Spade Birthday Party

W
ith the {adorable} Kate Spade clothing line for young girls, we are
getting more requests for Kate Spade parties. It was immediately
what Charynn’s daughter asked for her 9th Birthday, and we were happy
to accommodate!
The birthday girl had specific requests for her party: sparkles, pink, and
a chocolate fountain! We went with a hot pink, black, white and gold
theme, with lots of multicolor sparkles. Using clean, classic lines and
fonts to mimic the style of Kate Spade, we styled a long dining table for
all of the girls, a dessert table, a food table featuring mini foods, a chocolate fountain bar, and a mock-tail cart for the girls (that quickly was
taken over by the grown-ups).
The dining table was dressed with white linens, a black and white stripe
table runner, and hot pink gerbera daisies and roses in custom vases.
The place settings were white with hot pink napkins, with a simple black
spade in the center of each plate. Each setting had a glass adorned with
the sample black spade. Single domed glass cupcake stands finished off
the table.
The girls absolutely loved the mini-foods that were created for the party!
They all wanted to make them for dinner at home. The favorites were
mini mac-and-cheese bites, mini hot dogs, mini grilled cheese with tiny
cups of homemade tomato soup, mini meatball subs, and mini chicken
and waffles.
The dessert table included a selection of custom-made desserts: a 3-tier
cake with gold spade topper on a custom glittered cake stand, mini spade
cheesecakes, a display of different (glittery!) cake pops, framed spade
and sparkle “9” sugar cookies, cupcakes, gold and sparkle macarons,
milk and cookies, chocolate covered oreos, and popcorn cups in custom
gift bags for each girl to take home.
