Kate Spade Inspired Party

W

e took the ever popular clean and bold graphic style of Kate Spade
New York as our jumping off point to create this fun and stylish
event.  The stunning tablescape was filled with a number of DIY’s that
gave the look of designer tableware but ensured we didn’t break the bank. 
With a few jars of gold leaf paint we transformed ordinary paper lanterns
into things of gilded beauty.  We used the same gold leaf to elevate ordinary wine and champagne flutes into gorgeous designer like stemware
worthy of the most formal of occasion.  Plain old charger plates were
treated with a coat of chalkboard spray paint that gave them a matte elegant look.   All of this sat atop a glittering gold sequin table cloth with
bright pink runners added for a pop of color.

The sparkling palette of pink and gold, accented with bold black and
white was carried over to the dessert table.  Stunning arrangements of
roses and hydrangeas flanked each side of the table.  Edible 24k gold was
used on all details of the desserts which lent them an air of decadence
while tying perfectly into the theme.  Cake pops were brushed with gold
and glitter and hand crafted sugar flowers adorned both the cakes and
cupcakes.  No dessert table would be complete without the ever indulgent french macaron in various shades of pink. 

Other highlights from the shoot include framed quotes from Kate Spade,
customized menus and napkins tied in bows.
