The evenings are growling cooler, the leaves start to change from green, to a beautiful variety of colors, and start to fall. It can only mean one thing - it's time to rake. But for those who don't particularly love that task, there more options to consider.

LEAF REMOVAL

Vacuum Them

Use a leaf vacuum to suck up the acorns, leaves, pine cones of other debris into a bag and grind them for mulch or compost.

Mow Them

Use a lawn mower with an attached bag to deal with debris on your garden. Disposing of the debris is simple once you have them ground-up and collected in the bag.

Use A Leaf Blower

Leaf blowers are recommended for distributing & managing leaves in a large yard with a ton of trees, but raking it still more practical and takes less time if you only have a small lawn.

LEAF RECYCLING

Community Recycling

If you aren't one for gardening or doing much yard work, you should think about giving your bags of leaves to a neighbor who uses mulch and/or compost.

Compost

Mixing leaves along with sticks, grass, soil, and other debris from your yard to your compost heap will give you a high quality, nitrogen rich compost that is great for your shrubs and vegetables.
