Check what’s included in your venue - some venues will include vintage china or are willing to source it for you at no extra cost.

Clarky’s Crockery top tips:
Tips for hiring vintage crockery:
Ask if there’s a washing up charge - some vintage crockery hire companies will charge to do the washing up, others (like mine) expect you
or your venue to do the washing up, so make sure you know what the
deal is and check with your venue that they are happy to do the washing up if that is the case. Again, this may be at no extra cost so it may
work out cheaper to have your venue do it.
Is there a breakages deposit? - Many vintage items are delicate and
expensive so hirers have to make sure they are covered if something
gets broken. You should get the deposit back easily and quickly if all
items are returned intact.
Tips for everyone:
With all suppliers, read the Ts and Cs - you don’t want to be caught
out by anything unexpected on your big day. If you cannot find a
company’s Ts and Cs, ask to see them before you make any commitment.
Book a good photographer – your photos will be cherished for years
to come so you don’t want to regret your choice of photographer.
Take out insurance – I know, this is the boring bit, but you will have
invested a lot of time and money into this event and if something unforeseen should happen, insurance will cover not only the venue and
the dress etc but also all your suppliers.
Pin It – Pinterest is a great source of inspiration and is also a great way
to share your ideas with your suppliers like your florist, event stylist,
or hairdresser for example.
