Vintage and rustic weddings are also
on trend at the moment, which obviously I love. But more importantly, I
love the fact that brides and grooms
are ‘doing it their way’. Couples aren’t
afraid to be a little quirky and different, and as fewer couples are relying
on the ‘bank of mum and dad’, brides
and grooms feel less pressured to
stick to tradition and feel freer to do
just what they want. And of course,
this makes for some fantastically
unique and personal days that will
be remembered by everyone. The
beauty of working in the wedding
industry is that you get involved in
the excitement of each event. From
meeting the bride and groom who
may only have sketchy ideas about
what they want, to helping them
transform those ideas into a beauti-
ful and unique day. And some of the
ideas that couples come up with can
really take your breath away (and
make you feel slightly jealous that
you hadn’t thought of them first).
The first question many brides ask is
‘How does it work?’. Well, you tell me
what you want, or just the table sizes and numbers and I can advise you
on what I think you may need, and
then I turn up a day or two before
the wedding to deliver the carefully
packaged china. You use it, wash it,
repackage it, and then I’ll collect it at
a time to suit you. I also have a variety of props and accessories for hire
too (giant pin boards, vases, pretty
floral suitcases, blankets for keeping
your guests warm...) so can really
help give your big day that extra special touch.
