The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation

Naomi’s Column

I have such a lot to get through in
this column, so I’d best get cracking! Welcome to autumn; although
the wedding season may be quieting
down for many suppliers, don’t be
fooled – we’ll be continuing to work
hard behind the scenes, and have
a beautiful couple getting married
within days of you reading this. The
summer has been a fantastic one for
us, though, culminating in a wonderful holiday to Jamaica for Graham, Devon, and me. I cherish every
moment that I am able to enjoy with
my family, and have made the tough
decision to step back at least one day
a week to make the most of such precious moments – anyone who knows
me will understand how difficult
this will be! Luckily The Wedding
Wishing Well Foundation has been
blessed with a brand new member of
staff, the lovely Emily, who is helping out in the office with emails and
phone calls. Her presence, which is
being funded by the generous One
Step Recruitment, is truly a godsend!

So, where to start? I suppose I’d best
get you all up to speed on my most
recent television appearance – only
ITV’s Surprise Surprise! I am still
reeling a little from the shock, and I
can’t quite believe that I didn’t cotton
on sooner – I shall be eyeing Graham
with increased suspicion from now
on! Our family holiday to Jamaica
and One Step Recruitment’s offer of
a paid staff member were both part
of my surprise, as well as an offer of
the use of a number of venues owned
by the Tabor Group – Parkland, one
of their venues in Essex, was used for
Emma and Jason’s wedding a couple
of years ago, so we’re excited to be
working with them again in the future. It has been the support that the
charity has received since the show
broadcast that has heartened me
the most; it was all hands on deck
to answer the hundreds of emails
and phone calls that flooded in for
several weeks after the programme
was shown, and I can’t express my
gratitude enough. I’d also like to say
a special thank you to Emma, Jason
and Paul, for the videos they recorded for Surprise Surprise – I know
how hard it was for you, and am so
grateful.
