visits to wedding fairs! In his eyes, as
long as we ended the day as husband
and wife that was all that mattered.
Our beautiful flowers and table centrepieces were provided by Wild
Floral Designs in Torquay, Louise
was so helpful, 5 months before the
big day I had no idea what I wanted,
what she designed for us was perfect.
All our hair and makeup was done
by my wonderful hairdresser from
White Orchid in Torquay, Kara had
been doing my hair since I moved
back from Cambridge so knew exactly what to do with me! She made
me feel and look like a princess.
My nails and the bridesmaids were
done by Jaque at The Nail Shack in
Newton Abbot. Kate at Perrylicious
Cakes in Teignmouth made our
wedding cake, I’ve been good friends
with Kate for 10 years and know her
standard of cakes is amazing so I had
the brain wave of serving the cake
as pudding. I decided that I wanted
everyone to have 3 flavours of cakechocolate and cherry, banoffee and
honeycombe and vanilla. Kate had
her work cut out making enough
cake for 70 people but she delivered
and did it perfectly. Our evening entertainment was provided by Casino
Select (all our guests loved this) and
the music by William May singer,
who sang our first dance, John Legends ‘All of Me’. And I can’t forget to
mention our fabulous photographer
Lee Elliot, who made everyone laugh
and feel at ease, smiling for photos
wasn’t a problem, even for some of

our more serious guests!!
The one part of the planning which
Richard did get involved with was
the Honeymoon, I left the planning
of that to him and didn’t want to
know where we were going until it
was booked. 6 weeks before the big
day he surprised me one evening by
telling me it was booked and paid
for so there was no going back....... A
week in Dubai followed by week in
the Seychelles. It was all amazing.
Thursday 4th June 2015 was the
most perfect day, sun was shining
and everything went smoother that I
could have wished for. Having all our
family and friends to celebrate with
us was wonderful, we were so lucky
to start the next chapter of our lives
on such a high.
