The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’ s Child

Adventure through the deep, dark wood in a double bill of the hugely acclaimed animated films‘ The Gruffalo’ and‘ The Gruffalo’ s Child’. Royal Northern Sinfonia play René Aubry’ s enchanting scores live. Suitable for all ages.

Cuddy and his Mates

Discover the childhood escapades of three‘ Northern Saints’: Cuthbert the country lad, Bede the bookish one and Godric the daredevil. A play inspired by the Lindisfarne Gospels, with original live music. Suitable for ages 7-12.

My Granny is a Pirate
Gateshead Old Town Hall, 2pm
Join granny and her dog Jolly Roger in this swashbuckling musical adventure with skeletons, buried treasure and all sorts of pirate fun, adapted from Val McDermid’ s charming picture book. Featuring wellloved musicians from Sage Gateshead’ s team. Suitable for under 6s.
Presented by New Writing North and Durham Book Festival in association with Sage Gateshead.

Warming Songs for Winter Days

Snuggle up with this hearty stew of songs, dances theatrical fun and audience participation to melt away winter blues! Performed by Claire Tustin, Eleanor Mooney, Julia Partington and Jeremy Bradfield. Suitable for under 7s.
