Xbar10s . We had four vertical trusses on each side which each measured sixteen-feet long , and each vertical truss was composed of five Impression Xbars and Four Robe Pointes .
We had an Impression Xbar on the front of the pyramid which made the pyramid come alive when moving . When the pyramid was low and flat , the xbar closed the box from the top . We also had Impression Xbars around each riser which made it look like the musicians were locked up in boxes . To light up the band we had four individual overhead trusses on motors . I prefer to light up the band from the side which give more perspective and adds a dramatic look , so we had fourteen Viper Profiles and twenty-four flares on the floor ( sides and upstage ) to light up the band .
All overhead trusses were automated to be
able to both fill the negative space where traditional video normally resides and to create the ability to scale the proscenium more intimately when necessary . Each truss we had three Viper Profiles , three Viper Washes , and five Solaris Flares . We had a front truss with twelve flares used to light up the crowd and ten Viper Profiles that I used more as backup lights for the band . The Flares on the moving trusses helped to bring the trusses alive when they were in motion .
ESI to CR : What were a / some safety concern ( s ) that came up preliminarily ? How did you specifically address it / them ?
CR : At the beginning of the process , we were talking about having the vertical trusses on base , since we wanted to only bring the floor package for the festival shows and not having any overhead rigging point to request ,
