A Brief History...
...of St. John the Evangelist School
and Breakfast with Santa
Since 1950, St. John the Evangelist’s parish school
(SJE) has been a mainstay in our community,
providing excellent education in the Catholic
tradition. Our school was founded, thanks to the
efforts and belief of Father Rosensteel, that all children have the right
to a Catholic education. The Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
(IHM), a community of Catholic Sisters whose roots date back to 1845,
took on SJE’s responsibility of educating the students, mentoring their
spiritual and religious needs, and providing them skills to overcome
life’s obstacles. It is in this very gym that Ol’ Kris Kringle - Santa Claus
himself - began making early December stops on his pre-Christmas
tour over thirty years ago and, for almost as many years, Sr. Kathleen
has been here to greet him!
Come celebrate this rich history with the SJE community the first
Saturday of every December!
MAY Santa bring a smile to your face!!!
