Event Production Show Rewind | Page 3

Introduction

INTRODUCTION | EPS REWIND
After a long 14 months of hardship and pain for not only the event industry but the entire world , this year ’ s Event Production Show was a kickstart for the steady path back to normality . Held at Farnborough International on 26-27 May , the event welcomed a strong representation of the industry and covered some key challenges and topics of discussion that are at the heart of live events . From diversity and sustainability through to exploring local authority licensing and discussions surrounding the long awaited ( and yet to be instated ) event insurance plan . Running a successful live
event in lockdown had its challenges and being one of the first back at it put the event under pressure to not only get it off the ground but tick all of the boxes to ensure it could remain open for the two days . Crowd control elements were in effect at registration , aisles were widened to accommodate a two-way socially distanced flow , theatres had spaced chairs and lower capacity numbers as well as hand sanitizer and signage throughout the entire event . I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the exhibitors , speakers and attendees who stood by the event through its everevolving plans , and all involved behind the scenes that made the event possible . Work has already begun on next year ’ s event which will be held back at London ExCel on 8-9 March alongside Confex , PA Show and Publishing Show . Put it in your diary ! We can ’ t wait to welcome you back next year . If you didn ’ t make it along this year , make sure you don ’ t miss 2022 , you ’ ll regret it … and tell your friends ! If you missed any of the Main Stage sessions for whatever reason , make sure you check out what your peers had to say , with the ‘ Event Production Show Rewind ’ hosted on Access All Areas .
See you soon ,
