Maria & Brad
Wow, what a dynamic and beautiful
couple! Maria, who is originally
from Russia, and Bradley, who is
South African born, but also with
international heritage, made for a
multi-lingual and very interesting
wedding! The couple opted for
the glorious Montpellier in Tulbagh
and envisaged their wedding to
be a pop of extravagance against
a rustic garden setting. They opted
for an opulent white and lush green
colour scheme and they had their
hearts set on having their wedding
outdoors under the trees in
the garden.
With the wedding date being the 5th
of March, we expected hot, balmy
weather but instead, we were met
with a cool, cloudy day that proved
to be the perfect temperature
for an outdoor wedding. The
couple loved the idea of festoon
lighting throughout the garden
reception area so we strung up
naked lightbulbs all over the lawn
area, and made sure the garden
was lit up perfectly to compliment
their vision.

The ceremony took place in the
picturesque chapel on the estate
amongst the vines and red rose
bushes. Maria, already a natural
beauty, took our breath away as
she stepped into the chapel and
Bradley, clearly taken aback, wept
at the sight of his beautiful bride.
Maria walked down the aisle to
a song played on the piano by
her aunt from Russia & sung by
the couple’s close friend and
musician, Jeremy.
After the ceremony, guests moved
down to the pre-dinner drinks
area, which was also set in the
garden, where they enjoyed a
variety of canapés. With a bespoke
Gin cocktail bar, as well as Garden
Croquet and Giant Jenga, the
guests had a fun-filled afternoon
while the couple snuck off to have
their photographs taken.
The 90 guests were then ushered
to the reception area, where dinner
was served as a feast of platters
to the table. Natural wooden
tables were set out with rich white
