Inspiration when you least expect it!
The name Karen Tran evokes visions of
massive and gorgeous floral designs
including colourful Orchids and charming
Roses defying gravity in the most
impressive ways. Based in California,
this
passionate
woman
represents
extravagance, opulence and all things
gorgeous. A real-life example of ‘dynamite
in a small package’, Karen has been
travelling the world teaching those lucky
enough to attend her Master Floral Class
her masterful ways. Yes! Events recently
hosted the Karen Tran Floral Master Class
at the Taj Hotel in Cape Town and we were
proud to attend such an auspicious event.
Dream Big!
Karen started out small, but her dreams
of becoming an internationally recognised
floral and event designer kept her vision
big and her dream fast became a reality.
The title of the conference, “Inspire! Cape
Town”, rang true to itself and it definitely
was a wonderful inspiration as we continue
to take the Event Affairs Wedding division
to new heights each year. The conference
boasted international and local speakers
sharing their experiences and wisdom.
Success is progressive.
Building success in your company is like
layering a 5 tiered wedding cake - you
need to start with a strong and sturdy
base slowly growing it up from there, icing
each layer to make sure it stays where you
want it to and spending time perfecting
your art.
Walking through a corridor of Orchids at
the entrance into the most beautifully
setup conference space ever seen - the
floral designs were incredible and Karen’s
signature arrangements filled the room
together with the sweet smells of Stargazer
Lilies and Roses.
Karen kicked off the conference as the
keynote speaker and her story was one of
humble beginnings. We were left with 5
inspirational tips to success that we would
love to share with you…
Success is not an overnight thing.
These things take time, whether you are
starting your own business or planning
your own wedding, time and patience is
key to a successful outcome.
