development. And in 2014 we started the IDEA Video magazine. A program that allows kids
ages 7 to 13 a chance to produce their own show.
Our IDEA Performing Arts Center’s appeal is regional, national and international. Our
programming and events attract all age groups, and all cultures, we have visitors and patrons
from through out the east coast and the Delaware valley and have hosted countless events for
community organizations from all over. Just recently we held the first Camden Festival of Dance
with dance companies coming from Baltimore, Harlem NY, DC, Delaware and Philadelphia.
We have had the distinct pleasure of hosting african ambassadors, world renowned jazz
musicians as well as poets, and film makers from ITALY, acting coaches from NY, NFL players,
and last but not least the humbling experience which is the main reason I started IDEA and that
has been to educate at risk youth, exposure them to our programs and give them real world
experience behind the scenes .
IDEA is celebrating its 20th Anniversary. We are planning our fundraiser for October, and we are
starting a TV show that will be live streamed from the center each morning with host Cheldin
Bartlett Rumer and with her help as our new marketing consultant we will be having a series of
events before the year ends and we hope you can support us.
This organization has continued to this day advocating and supporting the arts in all of its forms
and has a history of supporting and engaging artists and arts organization throughout the
Delaware Valley in their quest to expose as many people and in particular our youth, to the life
enhancing quality of the arts.
