Q 1: I am from California and have been in New York for 2 years and 5 months. I was raised in Marin County in Northern California and have a really big
extended family there. Due to my career, I have been fortunate to live all over the world including San Diego, Nantucket, Maui, Fiji, Australia and the UK.
I came to New York,…as I woke up at 3:30 in the morning on my 40th birthday in a panic, as I had always wanted to live in New York (mostly after
watching Sex And The City) and knew that window would one day close. 8 weeks later, I lived here. The process in itself could fill a whole magazine,
as I did not have an easy arrival, and in a nutshell, the first four days witnessed a murder scene on the apartment steps where I was staying, was on two
subways with suicide jumpers, one of which had to be evacuated and was robbed of my entire moving shipment, over $50,000 in personal items. I am
happy to report after that first “bumpy” week, it has been amazing and I am absolutely thrilled to call New York my home.
