currently works full time, as a registered respiratory therapist and has been working in an open-heart unit for a little over
4 years. She also works with severely handicapped children that are ventilator dependent and are wards of the state.
“
I truly love working with people and making them feel better. I have always been
inspired by the modeling and acting industry and how it impacts the world.
I am
pursuing a life long dream of mine in the hope of becoming part of that industry.”
Q1: I am a registered respiratory
therapist that has been in the ICU in
the open heart unit since March 2010. I
work full time at a heart lung hospital,
and I have two other respiratory jobs
one is at a children’s hospital for the
abandoned and neglected children
from birth to age 21, and the last is in
an ER.
Q2: I am happy with actually having a
career that I received all by my self that
I love to do and worked through blood,
sweat, and many tears to achieve!
Q3: My husband was in the military
and we traveled a lot, and I needed to
be prepared with a career that I could
make a living wherever my husband,
daughter, and I had to go.
Q4: It is difficult with the hours I work
because I work 12 hr. shifts each time
(it’s standard in most hospitals.) I feel
however, It’s all worth it in the end. I
can provide as a single parent on no
assistance from the government or
anyone, I SAVE lives and love doing it.
My job is rewarding in every direction.
Q5: I work my standard 3 shifts that are
12 hour days at my full-time job. Then
I work an extra 12 hr. shift at one of
my other jobs. Then I am always home
every night making dinner and doing
homework with my 7 year old daughter.
I am widowed, I live as a single parent
it’s difficult but I have been blessed
with a loving family system from my
deceased husbands family and my
family.
Q6: SO to be clear to the readers out there who are you to
the people in your life?
I am a strong woman that has been through a lot of challenges, but most of all I am a good mother
and provider for my daughter. I am always there for family and friends ant time day or night.
Q
7: How do you handle being that person?
I have to be that person every day, to be a good example and to keep my own head up and move along
through each day being blessed and thankful for what I do have because you only live life once. I depend
on being this person for my daughter. I want my daughter to become better than me in life like every parent
dreams of. Also for her to be proud her mother. My daughter will know she better have a heck of a good
excuse for her not to become an amazing woman because her mom did it (lol).
Q8: Back to your career and personal life what do you want
to contribute to your profession and what do you want your
love one’s to learn from you?
That when you don’t feel good go to the Dr. and don’t wait. There is no age limit and social status
exemption to death. When its your time and god is ready to bring you home there is no going back and
making peace with family and friends for bad blood. I would want my loved ones to always treat everyone as
if it were there last, cause when there gone or your gone words can’t be heard and words cant be erased.
Q9: Do you have a hero?
My husband was my hero. He died September 4, 2012. He was my
daughters hero. Actually! Jordan Ford was our hero, and the United States
hero. the world was blessed with his presence, love, and strength.
Q10: what are some things you would like to see the everyday
girl mag to express or showcase in up coming
features.

for the high heels. the career, kids while going to college and clinicals, have
been through tough times, and came out better than on top. Hard working
beautiful women that are beautiful from the brains out.
