K endra Ford is a 26 years old female model. Standing at 5’6, and I am 113 lbs, wearing a size 7.5 shoe and size 1 dress. She is From southern Indiana. She started her modeling career...recently with us meaning there was modeling experience previously. She submitted her portfolio and some prints she had taken but most importantly her story. She currently works full time, as a registered respiratory therapist and has been working in an open-heart unit for a little over 4 years. She also works with severely handicapped children that are ventilator dependent and are wards of the state.   “ I truly love working with people and making them feel better. I have always been inspired by the modeling and acting industry and how it impacts the world.  I am pursuing a life long dream of mine in the hope of becoming part of that industry.”  Q1: I am a registered respiratory therapist that has been in the ICU in the open heart unit since March 2010. I work full time at a heart lung hospital, and I have two other respiratory jobs one is at a children’s hospital for the abandoned and neglected children from birth to age 21, and the last is in an ER. Q2:   I am happy with actually having a career that I received all by my self that I love to do and worked through blood, sweat, and many tears to achieve!  Q3:  My husband was in the military and we traveled a lot, and I needed to be prepared with a career that I could make a living wherever my husband, daughter, and I had to go.  Q4:  It is difficult with the hours I work because I work 12 hr. shifts each time (it’s standard in most hospitals.) I feel however, It’s all worth it in the end. I can provide as a single parent on no assistance from the government or anyone, I SAVE lives and love doing it. My job is rewarding in every direction. Q5: I work my standard 3 shifts that are 12 hour days at my full-time job. Then I work an extra 12 hr. shift at one of my other jobs. Then I am always home every night making dinner and doing homework with my 7 year old daughter. I am widowed, I  live as a single parent it’s difficult but I have been blessed with a loving family system from my deceased husbands family and my family.      Q6: SO to be clear to the readers out there who are you to the people in your life?         I am a strong woman that has been through a lot of challenges, but most of all I am a good mother and provider for my daughter. I am always there for family and friends ant time day or night. Q  7: How do you handle being that person?      I have to be that person every day, to be a good example and to keep my own head up and move along through each day being blessed and thankful for what I do have because you only live life once. I depend on being this person for my daughter. I want my daughter to become better than me in life like every parent dreams of. Also for her to be proud her mother. My daughter will know she better have a heck of a good excuse for her not to become an amazing woman because her mom did it (lol).       Q8: Back to your career and personal life what do you want to contribute to your profession and what do you want your love one’s to learn from you?     That when you don’t feel good go to the Dr. and don’t wait. There is no age limit and social status exemption to death. When its your time and god is ready to bring you home there is no going back and making peace with family and friends for bad blood. I would want my loved ones to always treat everyone as if it were there last, cause when there gone or your gone words can’t be heard and words cant be erased. Q9: Do you have a hero?        My husband was my hero. He died September 4, 2012. He was my daughters hero. Actually! Jordan Ford was our hero, and the United States hero. the world was blessed with his presence, love, and strength.  Q10: what are some things you would like to see the everyday  girl mag to express or showcase in up coming  features.          Women like me! Military women, just strong women! That work hard for the high heels. the career, kids while going to college and clinicals, have been through tough times,and came out better than on top.
