EVDG: Well I must say you are doing great handling both a mom and a business. Is there a hero in your
life?
MS: It's kind of hard because it would be between my father who escaped from Vietnam during the war to
bring us here to have this great life because he didn't want us to have the life he had when he was growing
up. Then there's my sister. I am the baby and she has given me so much advise on business and life. She was
like a mother to me if it wasn't for her I wouldn't of been able to do this.
EVDG: What are you most thankful for?
MS: I am thankful
for everything I had. All the bad
things that happened
to me. My mother said” you must
crawl before you
walk. If try to take a big step first
you will fall on your
face.” I am thankful for the
people that love and
support me.
EVDG: Any hopes
you have for the city
(Philadelphia)?
MS: I think the
community should do more for
the kids. The
children need guidance. And fix
the potholes (laugh)
I need a wheel alignment now but
seriously more
activities and rec centers maybe.
EVDG: Yes, maybe
this will get the few athletes or
entertainers would
come out and get involved.
With that being said what would you like to see in the EVDG?
MS: I think what you guys are doing is great but we need more role models because these young girls have
no role models or guidance and need to see that. Someone needs to be setting examples they see classy
women coming where they come from and you don't have to show it off and you can make it too.
EVDG: That sounds good Thank you for doing the interview.
MS: Thank you for having me.
