Harin ’ s story is just one example among the numerous employees who have benefited from WE CARE ’ s New American Workforce program , which helps eligible immigrant workers with their citizenship process . Through a partnership with The Good Traveler , a sustainabilityfocused nonprofit founded by San Diego International Airport , guests can purchase a “ carbon footprint offset .” When guests purchase these offsets from The Good Traveler , 100 percent of the funds go toward San Diego-based and nationwide projects aimed at reducing greenhouse gases and restoring wetlands and forestry . Each offset of $ 2 reduces emissions equivalent to 1,000 miles of flying , 400 miles of driving or as much as five nights in a hotel room .
