SOCIALEATS PACIFIC BEACH San Diego ’ s food halls are thriving and one of the newest is SocialEats Pacific Beach , which opened in 2021 only a couple of blocks away from Crystal Pier . Operated by K2 Restaurants , which also has SocialEats food halls in Hollywood and the Mid- Wilshire district in Los Angeles , the San Diego edition offers six food stations with everything from burgers and shakes to Cajun-style seafood and Asian street food .
What sets SocialEats apart is the option to pick up orders or have them delivered locally — even if customers want to combine dishes from several vendors . Some seating inside and on the patio is also available . Among the standouts is STRFSH , billed as “ rebel seafood ” by celebrity chef brothers Michael and Bryan Voltaggio . Choose from fish and chips ; the Filet-O- STRFSH , a beer-battered Alaskan cod sandwich with American cheese and tartar sauce ; or Bryan ’ s sandwich , which brings together salmon , Old Bay Seasoning , green chile mayo , lettuce , tomato and avocado .

Pop ! s Burgers & Shakes builds huge burgers like the four-patty Quad or eight-patty Machine , with red wine and grass-fed butter sauce , caramelized onions and American cheese , all topped with secret sauce . There are also smaller renditions as well as vegan options made with plant-based Impossible Burger , plus a crispy chicken sandwich , wagyu beef hot dog , fried pickles , onion rings and hand-dipped milkshakes .
