Eurotransplant Annual Meeting 2015
Winner Henk Schippers Young Investigator Award
Every year, Eurotransplant grants an award to a
young clinical or scientific investigator with the aim
to pursue a career in the field of organ and tissue
transplantation. This award, named after
Eurotransplant‟s first director, Henk Schippers, is
especially meant to enable the investigator to
present the results of organ transplantation related
investigations at well recognized and respected
international transplantation congresses or
symposia.
The winner of the Henk Schippers Young Investigators award 2015 is Dr. Rupert Oberhuber from the Medical University of
Innsbruck in Austria. He was recognized for his research into treatment with tetrahydrobiopterin to overcome brain death
associated injury in a murine model of pancreas transplantation.
We congratulate Dr Oberhuber with this Award and look forward to the presentation on his research at the Eurotransplant
Winter Meeting in Alpbach, Austria in January 2016.
