Editorial Introduction to the Second Issue of
European Policy Analysis (EPA)
he European Policy Analysis journal (EPA) publishes high quality work
with an emphasis on European countries, issues and studies and/or which
follows a comparative approach and/or which contributes to the theoretical
understanding of policy research. It invites original papers, quality and survey articles
as well as book reviews in line with the indicated field of interest and/or presenting the
recent results of European policy research concerning “Institutions”, “Policy Learning”,
“Evaluation”, “Political Practices”, “Discourse Analysis”, “Policy Advice”, “Advocacy
Coalition Framework in the European context”, “Multiple Streams Approach in the
European Context”, “Punctuated Equilibrium Theory in the European Context”,
“Programmatic Actors”, “Actor-centered Institutionalism”, “Multi-Level Policy-Making
in the European Context”, “Hermeneutic Analysis” and other similar contributions.
Papers on policy analysis in specific countries or regions such as “Policy Analysis in
Poland”, “Policy Analysis in Spain” and “Policy Analysis in Denmark” are likewise
welcome. All published papers undergo a strong double blind review.
Different countries follow different rationalities for several reasons. Policy Analysis
often underestimates the theoretical and practical relevance of different patterns
