Welcome
Even with a football World Cup looming, you may be able to understand why we’ve an eye on all things Ryder Cup this year? The programme of enhancements our colleague Ross McMurray has been going through to the von Hagge and Chesnau designed Le Golf National are bedding in beautifully and will be in pristine condition for all to see come the 28th
September when the 42nd Ryder Cup Matches begin. At the same time, work on the venue for the 44th Ryder Cup Matches is well underway. Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, on the outskirts of Rome, is going through something of a transformation over the next couple of years, and we give you a glimpse of that work in the pages of this issue.
Of course, the Ryder Cup is an important part of our work, but we’ve many other equally interesting and challenging projects to occupy ourselves with. One of the things that keeps this job fascinating is the extraordinary diversity of places, people and sites we get see work with. From tournament venues to members’ clubs; from deserts to swamps and from the frozen plains of central Europe to the steamy forests of Asia, each project gives us challenges, opportunities and great satisfaction. Coming to work each day is a real joy. We hope some of that comes through in this, our second edition of Vision.
Featured on this page, and throughout the issue, are the beautiful images of Kevin Murray. We have an interview with him on page 10.
Thanks for taking the time to read this issue of Vision. We hope you enjoy it.
