TwinSpace

The place where eTwinning magic really happens is the TwinSpace; a safe platform visible only to the teachers participating in a project. Students can also be invited in the TwinSpace to meet and collaborate with peers from their partner schools.

School Education Gateway

Teachers are welcomed to visit the School Education Gateway, Europe’s online platform for school education - presented in 23 European languages. It is a single point of entry for teachers, school leaders, policy makers, experts and other professionals in the school education field. Join today and stay informed about European policy and action for schools.

“EVENTS”

Q: What are eTwinning events?

eTwinning events are face-to-face or online meetings between eTwinning users with different goals. These events can be organized by any platform user. They have audio and videoconference tools with capacity for 100 participants, a forum for discussion before and after the videoconference session and a space to file documents. The nature of these events supports many possibilities: workshops, training sessions, school presentations, project presentations, partner search sessions.

Q: When can I participate in an event?

There are public events that give you the chance to participate. In private events there’s no possibility of access if you haven’t been invited to organize the event.

PROJECTS

Q: What information can I find on the Projects tab?

The space where you can create your project is in the “Projects” tab.

In addition, you’ll find the list of all your pending, open and closed projects. Under each project, you’ll find a list of related actions.

You’ll also find a tool that allows you to search for projects.

Q: What actions can be performed in relation to each project?

Actions related to the management of partners: adding new partners, removing partners, managing profiles.

Actions related to the project: modifying project information, adding images to represent it, starting and ending the project.

Application for National or European Quality Label. Application for participation in European Awards. Download the certificates related to the Project.

Q: I’ve founded/agreed to be part of a project. Why isn’t TwinSpace generated?

The protocol to approve a project takes time. If 15 days have passed since the process began, there might be several causes:

Your partner hasn’t accepted the invitation.

Your project is pending approval by the eTwinning representative of your Autonomous Community and the eTwinning NSS.

Your project is approved by Spain, but it remains to be approved by the NSS of the other country involved.

Solution:

Tell your partner they have to open the notifications and accept the project invitation to start the protocol to approve the project.

Check that the notification to give approval has reached the head teacher of your school and that, following the instructions they’ve sent it to the eTwinning representative in your Community.

If it’s already approved in Spain, tell your partner that it’s their National Support Service that needs to approve the project

Q: How do you add partners to a project?

You should ask your future partners to be part of your contacts. They must accept. Then, invite them to the project.

Q: How I can find partners?

Finding a partner for effective collaboration takes time. There are different spaces and ways to find partners. Before you start identify what kind of partner school you are looking for, a suitable age group, the language you want to use, the project content, the tools you want to use and the themes you want to explore.

Once you have established those ideas, go to the find ETWINNERS tab and if you already know the name you can enter it or alternatively you can create a more general search.

Q: What are eTwinning groups?

eTwinning groups are private platforms that allow their members to talk and work together on a specific topic. Their goal is for people participating in eTwinning to share examples, discuss teaching methods and find support for their professional development.

The groups are excellent spaces for collaborative work among teachers in the long term.
