Angels of the Nation

by Yashfeen Naseem, VIII-A

Child is the father of man” is a famous quote said by William Wordsworth. Many organizations have this as their motto but hardly anyone implies it. Nowadays we see many children, at construction sites, carrying loads and loads of weight on tiny shoulders. The children, who are supposed to be the future of a nation are stuck building skyscrapers for strangers. These children who should be studying at a school are working their backs off to help their families by earning some money – that may or may not be sufficient. So the question is, does anyone give a damn about them? Well, it is evident from the ever present news reports that hardly anyone cares. Who should give them a shoulder in their times of need? It is the government of a nation, of course. They have to take stringent steps to protect these children from the wrong done to them and provide them with basic elementary education. We are now and they are then and our then is the priority.

To Save The World

By Tanisha Shetty

(Alumna)

Let’s spread peace,

In the mind of every human being.

And violence let’s cease,

To save the world.

Let’s protect the trees,

Important for everything a human needs,

To save the world.

Let’s save the animals from extinction,

And not just let them be just fiction.

Let’s grant them benediction,

To save the world.

Let’s electricity, not waste,

And pledge to turn them off even in haste.

To save the world.

Let us buy all these small ways and many more,

Make the earth like it was in the days of yore.

Let us together, save the earth.
