I woke up a day,
To my surprise,
I saw it with my very own eyes,
Beyond me, an eternal way -
Which had no lies,
And love it ties,
With millions of secrets to say.
A huge blackboard
And many warm eyes
Just staring at me,
Lovely smiles they all bore
To see me succeed
And be before them.
I smiled too
As I was taken aback
When I saw you,
Filled up with rage,
You said to us,
'It's so simple!'
Ma'am, you'll never understand
Our true motives.
You tell us ' 1+1= 2 ' at school,
And give us 'Show that (a^2/bx)^3 = (under root x)^2
But to test us you ask
To prove that a triangle has three sides!
My dear teacher
Id rather break
My head against the wall.
When I sit all by myself,
You confuse me with your nouns
Those adjectives get on my nerves,
And this is all you have to tell.
But at exams you ask me
'What did the poet mean when he said that the sky is blue?
Is it happiness, anxiety or sadness?'
My dear teacher
He meant that
The sky's just blue...
And you think I'm a fool!
Along your longitude
Your sound echoes,
About Hitler's crisis,
Or the British rule
Ma'am, it's none of my business
I wasn't even born at that time!
1949, 1789
I'm fed up of these dates
You teach us the way of the future,
And tell us to forget
The worries of the past,
Then you, yourself
Eat up my head
And force me to learn the past.
My dear teacher
