After 6 rounds, the last man
standing is called the World
Champion of Public Speaking.
To win he or she has to beat
thousands of people from
around the world, but it all
starts with the first speech. It
all starts with you taking the
first step.
You can start of by dropping
by at any of our Toastmaster
Sessions, free of cost, or a
minimal charge for the venue
if any. You can also speak on
the table topics as many times
as you want as a guest. But
the real deal starts when you
decide to become a member.
You will be assigned a mentor,
and your progress becomes
the responsibility of the club.
The price right now for
joining is 20$. This is a
onetime fee payable to
Toastmasters International.
You don’t need to pay it again
in your lifetime. After that,
the monthly charge for
membership is 6$ per month,
paid for 6 months at a time.
Some clubs may charge a little
extra to pay for the venue and
food if they need to.
We all see such things on the
internet and think that it is a
scam. This is not. If you think
again, you are the ones who
will be doing the majority of
the work.
Toastmasters International will just
be a guide. Toastmaster is an amazing
roller coaster ride which you take up
voluntarily. And the best part is it is
driven by people who were just like
you, people who entered the session
scared to make the first interaction,
but now are leaders in their own roles.
The self-paced nature of the program
enables you to chase as many goals as
you want, or you could just choose to
give a table topic, but I urge you to
start.
