Ioannis Kapodistrias.
Count Ioannis Kapodistrias (Corfu, 10 February 1776 - 27 September / 9 October 1831) was a Greek diplomat and politician. He was Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Empire and later the first Governor of Greece during the transitional period during which the country was under the protection of the Great Powers.
