Visibility of eTwinning Projects Group July 2013 Newsletter
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Opening Doors to New Worlds
by Funda Gulenser
I started to run eTwinning projects in 2010. I
wanted my students to practice what they have
learned. When I first mentioned my students about
eTwinning projects, they reacted differently.
However, after a while, they all understood the
importance of eTwinning projects and they could
not wait to start new projects. When they received
the Christmas cards that had been sent by their
European friends, I will never forget the happiness
and joy from their eyes at that moment.
By means of eTwinning projects we have realized
that no matter how far or close to each other, we
are all the same, and for that reason we have a
chance to perceive the world through different
dimensions while sharing similarities and
celebrating differences.
With each project we have made new friends and
we learn innovative things from them. We had a
spotlight in our region with the help of our
successful eTwinning projects. I shared my
eTwinning experience and knowledge with many
colleagues who are both experienced and
inexperienced about eTwinning projects at
provincial information sessions. Our projects
inspired many friends.They introduced eTwinning
projects to their students as well. They opened the
doors to new worlds.
