At first my students could not interact through VoiceThread because of the slow Internet connection at school so they used Quizlet as an alternative. They wanted to be involved in the activity in any case! eTwinning – A World of Collaboration and Potentialities in Every Direction by Roberta Maria Delle Monache eTwinning is something for everybody. You can approach it whenever you like it and how you like it. Moreover it can be linked to everything, and is a lifelong resource no matter your age and you role in education. If you are a student, eTwinning gives you the possibility to be in touch with other pupils from other European countries and from the contact with them you “grow”. That is what some 15-year old students said during their presentation of their eTwinning project during Europe Day organized at our high school on May 17. Pupils have refined the ability to search and select information, have deepened the geographical aspects of Europe they usually study during the second school year of Scuola Media and have learned to work as a team forgetting their individualism. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Actually the day was meant above all for elder students, aged 18, who were going to leave high school to enroll in a university. The aim was to show them the potentialities of attending a part of their university course abroad. For this reason I invited Prof. Dr. H. C. Stefano Grego, Deputy Rector for International Relations and Mr Contardo, Head of Mobility and International Cooperation Office from Università degli Studi della Tuscia, in order to give them some information about the Erasmus programme the students could join while at university. Some past Erasmus students talked about their experience and how much they liked it and how much they have grown up since then. They highlighted how they improved their language skills easily and how they feel more confident now after the stay in a foreign country and university. At the end of their speeches some younger girls aged 14 proposed their eTwinning project “TAM TAM“ and all 91
