THE OLD HOUSE
This house belongs to my family. It was built by my great great grandfather. It is in Okçular
villiage of Bandırma.
Later he died in the Famous Çanakkale (Dardanels) War in 1915. When he was fighting to
defend his country in Çanakkale, his baby son Osman was born. He never saw his son Osman
but he left a chain watch for him. Osman grew up and had two daughters , Gülser and
Hacer. Gülser, who is my grandmother got married and moved to Bandırma. Hacer stayed in
the villiage and got married there. Osman’s chain watch is still in that house.
The house is a mudbrick single house. It has a big garden with an old fountain. Detached to
the house. There are two cellars.
