“Thank you”

“Ok. We will be this Saturday at your place.”

After this conversation, Meredith calmed down. She was really grateful to her parents-in-law for coming over. When she said this to Holly and Jack, they came back into the house.

Till Saturday everything was ok. On Saturday, in the morning, Meredith heard a doorbell. She wasn't surprised, because she knew that these were her parents-in-law. They got to know Jack and started talking about Thomas's childhood. Annie told everybody a story about their last summer in this house. She told them everything as she had told Meredith. After that, she started talking about Thomas's strange behaviour. She meant that he spent all his time in the attic where he looked into a mirror. This shocked everyone in room. It wasn't easy for Annie to talk about it. But she didn't give up. She still continued. They couldn't understand these strange things. Annie said that after those holidays she took Thomas to a psychologist’s. But it didn't change anything.

Suddenly, Jack got up, and asked Annie:

“Is this mirror still at the attic?”

“I think so. We didn't do anything with it.”

“Of course. How could I be so stupid? It can be our answer to the question.”

And after this, he went up to the attic. And everybody present in the room followed him. They saw a big mirror, in which there was Willy. It was very frightening; they didn’t know how it was possible for them to see him in it. It was like he was their mirror image. Suddenly they saw that he was holding a stick and next to the mirror there was the same stick.

Willy showed them that they had to smash the mirror. Jack didn't hesitate and he took the stick and smashed the mirror. Before the stick hit the mirror they saw a smile appearing on Willy’s face. Jack found a piece of paper in the debris of the mirror. They read it and understood that this was the key of this strange story.

Annie read the note. She passed out and fell on the floor. In that note was written that Willy and Annie had had an affair and that he was Tom's biological father. After Annie woke up and everybody calmed down, her husband asked:
