A participant of Integrating Outdoor Activities with eTwinning Projects, an international workshop in Istanbul, 2014

Having to sit in a lecture from morning until evening is very tiring and so a ship cruise through the Bosporus strait and a gala dinner were a reward after the intensive days. The entire project is under the auspices of eTwinning and Erasmus+ programmes.

If a school has such a chance, they should not hesitate and take it; otherwise it would be a waste of an opportunity to build contacts and get to know the world. Each year there are meetings organized all over Europe and we believe we will take part again and we might learn about new pedagogical approaches and make new friends. So, good luck. We are looking forward.

Just like our children get education, our teachers are also not idle and try to create environment for the children to communicate not only in their mother tongue but also in other world’s languages. In the third week of May I attended an international workshop including some lectures. There in Turkey I established some new contacts and by doing this I cleared the way for international cooperation for our school. In the coming years our school will become a place for language cooperation. Our children will be able to try out the functionality of a foreign language and learn about other cultures. If one wants to be a true language teacher, he/she has to overcome the language barrier and use his/her imagination during and beyond classes. 120 teachers from across Europe met in Turkey to share experience with developing high quality projects and initiating international school cooperation.
