1970’s
1970’s fashion followed on from the
sixties with an extra flamboyant element.
Polyester, a material that is made from
the non-renewable source petroleum
(tedresearch, n.d), was a very popular
material. It would be worn as tight
trousers in bright colours. Flares slowly
made their way out of fashion at the end of
1970 and tracksuits and knitwear came in
(retrowaste, n.d).
