It is my honor to congratulate the Pasadena / Altadena Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. as you celebrate your 29 th Annual Fashionetta Scholarship Luncheon. Since 1960, the Eta Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. has been dedicated to community engagement through advocacy and service.
By actively pursuing a wide variety of important initiatives— including the Annual Health Summit, Backpack Drive, and Mentoring Programs— the Chapter provides vital resources to our community that positively enhance the lives of many people. We are stronger and healthier when working together to improve the lives of our neighbors, and your steadfast commitment to service is a shining example of what is best in our community. To the members of the Eta Lambda Omega Chapter, thank you for your hard work and dedication to making a difference in the Pasadena / Altadena communities and beyond.
Additionally, I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Tonita Fernandez, who is being honored as the 2017“ Mother of the Year” and to the scholarship and book award recipients as they are recognized for their academic achievement.
