On Social Media
At some points, I feel that everyone have at least one bad
experience from social media. A year ago, "thigh gap" was
trending and everyone was obsessed with it. I have big thighs
and I can't wear certain size of skirts because of the chafing
predicament. Even so, I have never pushed myself and changed
the way I look, because I love my body. Rather than striving for
unrealistic standards, be comfortable with your own body as it is
and value. You should find comfort and self-esteem in anything
you do, instead of the unhealthy body obsessions. If you feel the
need of a change, you can start going to the gym to lose pounds
or eating healthy, but you have to be comfortable on your own
stand and with the clothes you wear.
We start developing the moods and certain beauty standards by
people we hang around, and fortunately, my friends are very
supportive with how I look.
