Fragrance Gardens
Scent is the most potent sense and nothing smells
better than a fresh bunch of flowers. Each plant in
a fragrant garden has its own mood altering smell
and works well in nearly any type of landscape, so
let your nose decide what to plant. Choose to either
create a private enclosed place away from the main

garden to allow fragrances to collect and intensify or
intersperse fragranced plants across the entire garden
so wafts of aroma will find your nose, regardless of
where you are or which way the wind is blowing. For
added punch, select a variety of plants that captivate
your senses; whilst lilac, lavender and roses are very
popular, lemontree, lily-of-the-valleys, chamomile,
jasmine, orange tree and scented geraniums help to
bring about feelings of relaxation and happiness.
