They say summer bodies are made in winter, but, if the
mere thought of having to trek to the gym in the cold
(or go for a jog) makes you shiver, then now is the time
to consider a home gym. The thought of having one has
probably crossed everyone’s mind –
Especially if you’ve just had to listen to another hour
of Justin Bieber blaring through gym speakers whilst
sweating away on ancient and overused equipment
that a previous runny-nosed user failed to wipe. If that
hasn’t put you off, the inconvenience of having to find
parking, adhere to strict timetables and even stricter
clothing restrictions, not to mention the ever-confusing
contractual agreements, is more than enough to keep us
away. However, with less than 40 days left until the start
of summer, keeping away is really not an option.
From those who work from home to those struggling to
find more time in the day, the gym haters and the closet
trainers who want to exercise without an audience – a
home gym is the perfect solution for everyone. The
biggest benefit is obviously convenience – home gyms
give people the opportunity to adopt a workout routine
that is readily available and that meets their individual
needs. Furthermore, they are never closed, they don’t
consist of super-slender staff making you feel bigger than
what you actually are, you can choose the music style
and volume and you’re free to work out as you please,
so, if you want to train in your underwear or pyjamas at
three in the morning, then so be it.
The only downside to a home gym is the cost factor
and loss of interaction. It can get a bit lonely training on
your own all the time, so consider logging on to online
