Par 4 (384; 360; 344; 304 metres.) Stoke 13
The downhill 17th plays as a relatively short
par 4 offering the classic ‘should I or shouldn’t I
have a go’ dilemma! A conservative approach
by taking a long iron or rescue wood from the
tee will leave a tricky second from a downhill
lie to a narrow green. Taking on the bottle
neck further down successfully with a driver
from the tee will be rewarded with a pitching
wedge or 9 iron approach shot – the choice
will be yours!

Hole 18
Par 4 (471; 443; 369; 326 metres.) Stroke 1
Just when you thought it was safe to go home!
This is certainly the toughest par 4 on the course
and you will need to give the driver all you have
got from the tee. Even a season’s best tee shot
will most likely leave you with a long second shot
in which a water hazard will be a discomforting
presence on the left edge of the approaches to the
green. To add potential insult to injury, the club’s
terrace will also offer everyone a panoramic view
of your finishing struggles!
