Claudia ’ s Three Keys to Successful Team Relationships
Open Communication . “ I ’ ve grown closer with my team members and been more empathetic . I still act as a firm guide for them on their way to success .”
Honesty . “ What people don ’ t know can be easily learned . It ’ s just a matter of whether they want to or not . We try to be really honest about what our team wants .”
Authenticity . “ I always encourage people to see their own value — to recognize their capabilities . I want everyone to be their true selves on my team .”
It was those difficult life experiences that helped Claudia build a solid , successful team . When helping team members in difficult situations while trying to build their businesses , she draws on her own experience to give helpful advice and support . She says , “ I started at zero . I can use my life experiences and what I ’ ve learned to help my team .”
Claudia not only draws on her life experience when leading her team , but she also believes in being 100 % herself . One piece of advice she gives to other leaders is to never compare themselves to others . “ Don ’ t measure your success using others ’ metrics . Be the most authentic and honest version of yourself that you can be . I always try to be myself — some people say I ’ m a lion with a care bear heart .”
As both an achiever and activator , Claudia says her “ lion side ” sometimes comes out — she can be focused on results over emotions . Over the years , she ’ s learned to show her team how much she cares by helping them find solutions . She says , “ I may not be the one who sits and cries with you , but I am the one who ’ ll help you realize you can do this . I ’ ll help you find a way to move forward .”
While it took both a caring and “ lion ” heart to achieve the kind of success Claudia has seen , she says she wouldn ’ t change anything about her journey . From the dark days when she wanted to quit , to now as a Diamond leader , Claudia is grateful she stayed the course , overcame her fears , and remained resilient .
