In 2017 , Paula was living in Hawaii and working as a cleaner . She ’ d moved from Brazil a few years earlier and built up a substantial clientele . But something didn ’ t feel right . As Paula pondered her situation , she realized she was missing freedom .
She was good at her job , but she felt it wasn ’ t fulfilling her . Paula wanted to be creative and help other people . What she didn ’ t know was what she really wished for was to be a Wellness Advocate .
When she learned about dōTERRA , she jumped at the opportunity . She loved the freedom her business provided her , and it became her Why as she led her team . But soon thereafter , challenges arose . She had her first daughter , and once the pandemic hit her husband lost his job . There was more pressure than ever to run a successful business .
Paula knew she couldn ’ t go back to her cleaning job , so she and her husband made a plan . He agreed to stay home with their daughter while Paula committed full-time to building her business . She admits balancing family and work life was challenging , but Paula had to make things happen .
She started engaging others more on social media , building an online community . It was demanding work , but within six months Paula reached Platinum rank .* The Morrisseys then decided they were ready for Diamond Club . Paula wanted to expand her team on the mainland , so the Morrisseys left their home in Hawaii and lived with family in Florida . For two months of Diamond Club , they rented a motor home and drove to California , connecting with people along the way .
Paula believes committing to personal development and having a strong , positive mindset have been key to her success . She loves the team she ’ s built . To stay motivated and united , they have weekly meetings , and they support each other individually . As they work together , Paula says they feel like they ’ re part of something bigger .
The Morrisseys are reaching their business goals . They ’ re now back in Hawaii and are more excited than ever to see what the future holds . They know from experience that if they ’ re committed to making things happen , they can accomplish anything .
