Creating this community came naturally
to Delynn. For her, building strong
relationships has always been at the
heart of her dōTERRA business. “I have a
ridiculous amount of positive energy,” says
Delynn. “I’m always aware of this and use
it to motivate others if they’re struggling.”
The downside of this is that sometimes
her belief in her leaders is greater than
their desire to build. “You can’t believe
in others so much that you build their
business for them,” she says. Now she
focuses instead on the people who are
ready to do the work, because, as she
says, “Where focus goes, energy flows.”
When asked if there is anything she’d like
to share with people who are building
with dōTERRA, she advises, “Trust the
process. Your timing is perfect and
isn’t meant to be done in a way that’s
inauthentic. Be you. You rock at it!”

“I really had to hone in on leading with my strengths to move my
team forward and tap into the next level of belief in this business.”
“The sooner you assess the beliefs you hold about your team, and use
your strengths to press forward, the more you’ll thrive. It didn’t take me
long to accumulate volume; it did take me time to see how my beliefs
were impacting my leadership style and relationships with my team.”
“When I owned my strengths and took time to appreciate my
leaders’ strengths, I started truly supporting them. When I stopped
trying to push my strengths onto them, I came to understand and
support my leaders in the long run.”
